From the west end to 270, bumper cars and more, what has the Anthem got in store for you entertainment wise?

SHOWS

We Will Rock you: Wow! This show was almost full for every showing - we’ve seen it twice and it really was spectacular. The singing, the musicians, the theming it was worth every minute of your time and more. Our kids loved it and really enjoyed seeing something new and when we cruised the second time they asked to go back - this was worth seeing again and we would all go back and see the whole show again. We love going to the theatre and it really felt like a West End production.

Top tip get there early and get a good seat its worth it.

Spectra’s Cabaret: This show is held in the amazing Two70, at the aft of the ship - which has a lovely little snack cafe next door with a bar and full table drinks service inside Two70. The location is spectacular and during the day, views of the wake are really beautiful and you could easily spend a few hours chilling out in here. However, the show is in on an evening and it gets very busy so you will need to get your spot early.

The show is classed as a fusion show of a wide range of music, performances and styles - it was very different to a traditional show. To be honest, compared to other Royal Caribbean shows the quality of performance and storyline wasn’t for us. If you’ve not seen it there’s no harm in giving it a go but if there’s other things you want to do, this is a one to miss.

ACTIVITIES

Firstly you can choose to do as many activities on board or as few as you like. We don’t tend to do too many to be honest but some of the things we did enjoy were the following activities:

Bumper cars: What a great addition this is to a ship, its on at set times a day and you just turn up and queue all the info is in your app. Great fun and we would definitely do it again.

Disney quiz: Held in Cafe Two70 this was a lengthy quiz about 45 mins ish! It was good fun and as big Disney fans we loved it . There were all kinds of different rounds and the host who led it was great fun. This was super popular and really difficult to get a seat about 10 mins before it started so make sure you get there in plenty of time. If you love Disney and want to know more about cruising with them you can read all about our experience on the Disney Magic - from Palo to Andy’s room, it was a full on 3 days of an amazing experience.

Name that tune quiz: we picked this on one of rainier afternoons it was held in the main theatre and its exactly what is says on the tin it was a quiz game with members of the audience who volunteered to go up on stage and name that tune - loads of people volunteered so they held a little min round to get started to select who would go on stage! Rather them than me! It was really good fun and the kids enjoyed it there was small breaks with singers and dancers - they were great. This was entertaining and well hosted by the crews entertainment team.

North Star

If you want to see it in action - scan the QR code below for our Video.

On our first cruise we went on the North Star this is an observation capsule that goes up from the top of the ship and hovers above the ship and across the side of the ship. It was a really brilliant experience you can see for miles, it was a little brezzy and not for you if you’re scared of heights however definiately a fun and unique experience. It’s free on port days however there is a charge on sea days. It was fully booked on our second anthem cruise but we would definitely go on again.

The climbing wall next to Gigi the giraffe and the flow rider surf pools are included in your cruise fare but Ripcord by ifly skydiving experience is a paid extra.

There are so many things to do on this ship it would be impossible to get bored. Just check your cruise planner app and highlight what you fancy doing then you’ll get a reminder so you don’t miss out. If there is anything specific you don’t want to miss out on, get in early and reserve.
