Staying at the airport the night before starts our holiday for us - we quite like an extra cheeky night off. The Novotel at Birmingham airport couldn’t be more convenient you literally walk across the road and you’re in the terminal building.

The hotel was very modern and check in was very efficient. If you’re not signed upto Novotel rewards it maybe worth looking at in order to save some money - we signed up and the gave us a free drink voucher for each of us.

It looks a little dated on the oustide however the inside was very modern and the decor well thought out.

We booked a family room for the 4 of us - the room was modern and well laid out. The beds were comfy and we couldn’t hear any noise insode the room from the airport at all. Family room & bathroom photos. The toilet was separate to the main bathroom so made it easier for a family to navigate.

Food at the hotel

We ate our evening meal and our breakfast in the hotel and both were good. The range of food for breakfast was good and it was all help yourself from the buffet, lots of yoghurts, fruits croissants etc with a hot range of food available also. The service for our evening meal was particularly slow and there was a service charge on the bill. That hadn’t been mentioned till the bill showed up - sneaky. The food was a decent quality nothing mindblowing but pleasant none the less.

FInal Thoughts

Would we stay again? - yes we would the rooms were lovely and clean alongside very helpful staff overall and it’s in a great location in proximity to the car parks and airport terminal building.
